This quote is more widespread than you might realise.
The Scottish Deaf International Rugby Team are looking for Adult Male players for the squad regardless of Age or Experience. Please ask your Director of Rugby,Club Coaches and Captains if any of their current players fall into the following categories:
* Deaf
* Hard of Hearing
* Hearing Impaired
Please tell any potential player not to be embarrassed about admitting they may not have perfect hearing. Nobody has perfect eyesight same with hearing ability.
If they are unsure get in touch and we can give you more information on Audiograms etc.
To qualify for the International Squad you have to have a 25dB average hearing loss between both ears,
Scottish born, born of Scottish Parent/Grandparent or resident in Scotland for 3 years. You must also
be a member of a Rugby Club.
The Scottish Deaf Rugby Players are drawn from Clubs to represent the Scotland Deaf at International Matches.
This could be their chance to pull on the NAVY BLUE.
Also building for the Deaf Nations Matches which run alongside the main 6 Nations 2006.
